What is the difference between a VPN and a proxy
If you have been researching VPN you will likely have come across the idea of simply using a proxy and with many of these proxy services offering free option, you may be tempted.

The differences between these 2 things are not just a different name for the same thing however as connecting to the internet via a proxy may offer some of the same protection as using a VPN but it simply cannot compete.

When you use a proxy to connect to the internet it connects to a proxy server and it is that server’s IP address that is used for your usage on the net.

This allows you to mask your location and to access censored information on the web but it also allows others to track the IP address you are using to connect with including those simply wanting to sell you things but also for those with worse things in mind including hackers and identity thieves.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
