What is the difference between a VPN and a Firewall
A firewall is a line of protection that many of us use when accessing the internet and whilst they are exceptionally good at what they do, a firewall only does 1 specific thing and cannot match the overall protection of a VPN.

A firewall looks at data coming from an app or website whenever you use the internet and so long as it determines that that data matches a certain set of rules, it allows you to access it.

If it deems it to breach the rules you have set, it will block it.
That is great for blocking thing such as viruses, worms, trojans and the like but it is only built on one way traffic as in it can only stop things coming from somewhere else onto your computer.

A VPN not only does that job but it also protects things that leave your device and goes on the internet.

With the 2 complimenting each other so well, we would always suggest that you use both a VPN and a Firewall for the best possible protection.
